This project aims to collect flare gases from the fifth and eighth refineries of South Pars located near Asaluyeh in Bushehr province. By processing the flare gases from these refineries, light gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products will be produced. The produced light gas will be sold as feedstock to the petrochemical units of the country, while the liquefied gas will be exported as feedstock to domestic or international petrochemical companies. In addition to preventing the burning of the country’s gas resources, this initiative will also mitigate a portion of the air pollution in the Asaluyeh region.

• Collection, compression, and refining of approximately 70 million cubic meters of light gas annually.
• Collection, compression, and liquefaction of approximately 25 thousand tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) annually.
